Highway 14 Assn. to Host Bus Tour
A new and exciting adventure will be available for anyone
who would like to take advantage of a familiarization tour
scheduled for the Highway 14 Association, Inc. meeting date,
Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008.
Those wishing to go on the bus tour are asked to RSVP Travel
Concept Tours at 800-759-1006 or karenr@hamilton.net by Monday,
Sept. 22.
Everyone will meet at 10 a.m. at the Genoa Indian School---come
at 9:30 a.m. if you would like to have a short tour of the
school. Boarding the bus will be at 10:05 a.m.
Schedule for the day:
Loup River Diversion Dam (Headworks Dam) with step-on guide
Nancy Carlson; Preferred Rocks (sand project under construction);
Oregon/Mormon/California/Pony Express Trails; each attendee
will pay for their own lunch at New Frontier Saloon &
Restaurant in Belgrade with Jim Cox, host speaker; en route
to Fullerton with step-on guide Betty Mapes; Fullerton’s
Veteran’s Memorial; downtown tour of Fullerton and boulevard;
and return back to Genoa.
The bus tour is open to the public.
Highway 14 Association will also be conducting their meeting
when time allows. The tour should conclude about 2 p.m.
