The Doll Factory is operated by Darlene Dozler and located in
rural Elgin, NE. The Doll Factory was
created in 1976 when Darlene turned her hobby into a home-based business. She has made almost 7000 different dolls,
bears, angels, one-of-a-kind Santas, and other craft items. If you are interested in ordering a doll or

"Memory Dolls" are one of Darlene's most popular
products. They are produced from
heirloom items such as old wedding dresses, military clothing, bedspreads,
pillowcases, doilies, jewelry, quilts, ties, old hats and / or old
buttons. Here are some
examples of the “Memory” series of bears and dolls.
Bears
Bears can
be made of chenille, old coats, old blankets & quilts, or almost any
non-elastic material.
Angels and
other dolls
Dolls are
often made utilizing wedding dresses and doilies
Washable dolls are a popular
item. Washable dolls are filled with a
'polyfill' stuffing, embroidered eyes and cloth bodies. There are numerous patterns and sizes to
choose from in the washable dolls.
